Three Belgrade companies were awarded the job of creating design and technical documentation for the taxiway at Niš Airport "Konstantin Veliki".The work will pay them 13.8 million dinars, and as it is written in the documentation, they should design an extension of the parallel taxiway and an isolated position for aircraft parking.The companies VS infra Design, ELGRA VISION and NEO AERODROMES ENGINEERING were awarded the job, which, as it says, will do 80% of the work.This company, according to publicly available data, specializes in business related to air traffic and so far has cooperated with Nikola Tesla Airport on only a few tenders.For VS Infra Design, according to officially available data, this is the first tender in which they won a job, and the company was founded in 2019.The oldest in the whole story is Elgra vision, which has been in existence since 2006 and has already received one job in Nis as part of the consortium around the Slovenian Resalta, which was supposed to start modernizing public lighting on the streets of Nis.These three companies were the only bidders in the tender announced by the Airports of Serbia, and their work will be related to the taxiway and aircraft parking at Niš airport.The goal of preparing the subject technical documentation is the construction of an extension of the parallel taxiway and an isolated position for aircraft parking at the airport "Konstantin Veliki" Nis.The purpose of creating the technical documentation is to connect different parts of the airport - the platform, taxiway on the platform (Apron Taxiway) and runway (threshold 11), with the aim of developing air traffic at the airport and expanding its capacity, with the shortest possible stay of the aircraft on the take-off the runway, i.e. exiting the runway as quickly as possible and fulfilling the requirements from the aspect of safety - it is written in the documentation.It is also necessary that the taxiway and the isolated parking position with all their characteristics enable the reception of the largest aircraft (code letter E) while establishing the prerequisites for the highest standards of traffic safety and the process of servicing aircraft, passengers and belongings.Airbus 330 and 340 aircraft, as well as Boeing 747 and 777, have the code letter E.The parallel taxiway and isolated parking position should form continuity with the extended newly designed part of the platform and parallel taxiway and fit into the new and expanded facility of the terminal building.A tender for the selection of the contractor should be announced only after the design documentation has been drawn up.Let us remind you that the tender for the reconstruction and construction of a new building that will serve passengers at "Konstantin Veliki" Airport was recently completed.In addition to these 13.8 million dinars, another 1.57 billion will be spent on the Niš airport for the reconstruction and construction of the mentioned building.The job was won by a group of as many as 8 companies, mostly from Belgrade, and one from Niš.Constantine the Great Airport, Airports of Serbia, NisRegardless of the taxiway at K.
