WAUSAUKEE, Wis. — The four-day 2022 Marinette County Fair is set for Aug. 25-28 at the fairgrounds in Wausaukee.
New to the fair this year is the Aussie Kingdom, an educational program with live animals — kangaroos, birds, lizards — native to the Land Down Under. Daily show times have yet to be set.
The sea lion show proved to be a hit in 2020, so organizers decided another program with exotic animals would be a good addition to the 94th annual fair, said Lisa Witak, Marinette County Fair secretary.
Featured grandstand events include the mini- and modified tractor pull Thursday, Aug. 25; the farm tractor pull Friday, Aug. 26; the demolition derby in the afternoon and the supermodified truck and tractor pull that evening, Saturday, Aug. 27; and the horse pull Sunday morning, Aug. 28.
As was done last year, there will be no extra charge to attend the Thursday and Sunday grandstand competitions. Friday and Saturday events will be $8 or $5 for ages 6 to 12; younger than 6 are admitted free.
