VIENNA, VA — Vienna residents will gather for the next Chillin' on Church block party Friday on historic Church Street.

The monthly block party is held every third Friday from June to September. From 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., attendees can enjoy food, beer and wine, music and family activities. Sections of Church and Mill Streets are closed for the event. Admission is free.

Each event features a lineup of food trucks, but attendees are also encouraged to bring takeout from Vienna restaurants.

Beer and wine are also available for purchase. Attendees must first visit an ID tent with a valid ID to receive a wristband then visit the ticket tent. Each $6 ticket can purchase one beer or wine. Attendees are not permitted to bring their own beer and wine from home to the event.

The musical performer at the August event is Deja Gruv Band, a 14-piece band that performs a variety of genres, from Motown and soul to pop and country.

Attendees can find public parking options nearby. Accessible parking is provided at the Town Green/W&OD Trail parking area between Church Street NE and Maple Avenue E.

The last Chillin' on Church of 2022 will take place on Friday, Sept. 16.
