Apron, Inc. will be holding its sixth annual "Taste of Independents" on Sunday, July 17 at The Olmstead after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

The event raises money for Apron, Inc.'s mission of helping out restaurant workers in financial need.

It will feature food dishes prepared by some of the best chefs in the Louisville region along with wine, beer, spirits, a silent auction and live music entertainment by Robbie Bartlett.

The food is the star of the show, and organizers say it will have a "cool, chill vibe."

One chef said preparing special dishes and supporting the community while bringing all the chefs together for a good cause is his favorite part of the event.
